When the construction glue was dry, I proceeded to add cross sections of 2×4 to support the soil. Then, I used galvanized rabbit warren fencing for the bottom of the bed. I cut it to size and covered it with two layers of gardening textile. I could then start putting in the soil.
This bed is fairly deep, and it took close to 12 20-gal bags of soil to fill it up.
It now needs a bit of sanding and a few coats of wood sealer, but as you will see in the pictures below, I have not wasted time before I planted my fresh herbs for the summer, especially all the mint which is essential in the preparation of the summer drink par excellence, the mojito!
